Kentucky Historical Society Plans to Create Curriculum
A partnership between the Kentucky Historical Society and Kentucky schools is in the works, with help from a $110,000 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Historical Society says the money will be used to create a curriculum called "The Right Answer."
The program is intended to increase students' skills in visual literacy, historical literacy and critical thinking with help from historical collections.
The society plans a pilot study to create a curriculum that can be shared statewide and be used to teach topics including history, social studies, government, humanities, reading, writing and fine arts.
