Kentucky Lawmaker Chosen for Agricultural Post

By Dan Modlin

Bowling Green, KY – The National Conference of State Legislatures has
selected Representative Roger Thomas to serve as
Chairman of its Agriculture and Rural Development
Committee. The Democrat from Smiths Grove says
he will work to assure that farming can "continue to
thrive."

Some of the key issues facing the Committee include
farm profitability, the use of technology in rural areas,
and improving the quality of life in small communities.
Thomas represents portions of Warren County in the
General Assembly. House Speaker Jody Richards
says the opportunity will make Thomas
an "even more valuable resource for Kentucky."
