Kentucky Lottery Warns of Scams

By AP

Frankfort, KY – the Kentucky lottery and state attorney general's consumer protection division report several scams are being pulled off in the state.
They're being described as "too good to be true" offers. Foreign lotteries and Nigerian money scams are two of the most recent culprits to find their way into the state.
In each lottery case, the operator contacts victims through the mail or e-mail telling them they've won millions of dollars through a foreign lottery.
Then comes a request for "up front money" to process the prize or for sensitive bank account information so funds can be wired to the winner.
Officials warn it's all fake and don't fall for it.
