Washington, D.C. – Both United States Senators from Kentucky say Congress
will approve additional funding for the military and re-building
efforts in Iraq. Speaking on National Public Radio, Senator
Mitch Mc Connell of Louisville predicted Sunday's request
by President Bush will be approved by a large, bi-partisan
majority.
Speaking on the phone line with Western's Public Radio,
Senator Jim Bunning also expressed confidence that the
request would be approved. Bunning cautioned that ,
"We don't do anything quickly around here," but he
predicted the additional funding would be approved in
October.
