Kentucky State Trooper Involved in Vehicle Crash

A Kentucky State Trooper from Bowling Green is being investigated to determine if his driving caused a crash in Warren County Tuesday afternoon.

In a printed release, State Police say Trooper Tomie Walters responded to US 31W and the intersection of Morris Duff Road just after 1:30 regarding an injury collision.

Preliminary investigation has determined that Trooper Walters was facing south on US 31W on the right hand shoulder of the roadway. He had finished investigating the collision when he made a U-turn, crossing into the path of a motorcycle operated by 58 year old John Hoffman of Bowling Green. He and his passenger, 56 year old Theresa Hoffman, were taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Green after their motorcycle struck the right front bumper of Trooper Walters' vehicle. Walters was not injured.

Six KSP, including three detectives, responded to the scene.
