Kentucky Transportation Official Facing DUI, Other Charges

A spokeswoman for the Kentucky Department of Highways in Bowling Green is facing DUI and other charges following an accident Wednesday night, the Daily News reported.

According to state police, a car driven by 47-year-old Kiersten Jaggers of Smiths Grove veered off of Fairview Boiling Springs Road and hit a mobile home.  It’s occupants were not hurt but were displaced because of damage to the home.

Jaggers told police she had been drinking at a bar on Old Louisville Road.  According to court records, police found what appeared to be an open container of alcohol and 20 Valium pills inside the car.

Jaggers posted bond Thursday from the Warren County Regional Jail.  Online jail records show Jaggers was arrested for DUI in 2005 and 2011.  She was also charged in 2006 with alcohol intoxication in a public place.
