Kerry Leads in Jefferson County

By AP

Louisville, KY – A new poll shows democrat John Kerry may have an edge over President bush in Jefferson County.
The Bluegrass Poll, conducted by the Courier-Journal, shows Kerry and running mate John Edwards the choice of 49% of likely voters in jefferson County, while 44% said they'd vote for the Republican ticket of Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
The September poll had Bush ahead by 15 points state-wide. The new poll found continued state-wide support for the President, withb56% of likely voters saying they'd vote for Bush and 39% for Kerry.
The Jefferson County poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8% points. Because the results are within the poll's margin of error, it's not possible to say whether Kerry is definitely ahead.
