Kroger Recalls "Moose Tracks" Ice Cream in Ten States

By Dan Modlin/AP

Bowling Green, KY/Cincinnati, OH – Kroger says people who have peanut allergies could have a serious or even life-threatening reaction if they eat the ice cream being recalled. The company says 16 ounce pints of "Extreme Moose Tracks Ice Cream" were sold in ten states, and the items in question have a sell-by date of June 18, 2012 and a upc code of 11110 52909.

The product was sold in Kroger stores and in the company's Food 4 Less, Owen's, Jay C, Pay Less, and Scott's outlets in Indiana and Illinois. The company says shoppers should return the ice cream to supermakets and they will receive a refund or replacement.
