Louisville – In observance of Veteran's Day, Governor Steve Beshear is recognizing Kentucky's past and present military personnel. Following a visit to Fort Knox, the governor made a stop at the VA Hospital in Louisville.
"We honor veterans on veterans day but we really ought to be honoring them every day
because of what they've done for this country. We've got 339-thousand veterans in
kentucky. Kentucky has a tradition of military service."
Beshear says Kentuckians should also thank military families for the sacrifices they
make while their loved ones are serving overseas.
