The women will face the 5th seeded Longhorns in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Division One Women's Basketball Championships Friday, March 20 at 4:00 CT at the Haas Pavilion at Cal in Berkley, CA.
The Lady Toppers ( 30-4 overall, 16-2 Conference USA ) were seeded 12th in the Albany Regional in this week's tournament after claiming the Conference USA regular season championship and tournament title. This will be their 18th NCAA tournament appearance.
WKU and Texas have met twice in the NCAA tournament; in 1985 and 1986.
The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
