Louisvile Police Officer Shot Dead

Louisville – A Louisville police officer who was shot during an investigation on Accasia Drive in the southwest corner of the city has died in surgery.
Dr. Bill Smock said 28 year old officer peter Grignon of Louisville's second police district was shot twice in the head and neck region and died at 9:33 Wednesday morning at University Hospital.
Grignon was married and had been on the force two years.
Police say the shooter killed himself at the scene. Another suspect was taken into custody. Grignon was reportedly investigating a hit and run traffic crash that occurred a short time earlier.
