Louisville Standoff Ends In Shootout

Louisville, KY – A man wanted as a suspect after the fatal shooting of his wife was captured early Friday morning after an 18 hour standoff with police that included an exchange of gunfire.
Louisville metro police say 53 year old Gary Goodman fled after police lobbed forty pellets into the house that released an eye irritant and too other action to flush him out.
Goodman was tackled by officers after he left the house at 2:40 a.m. by a side door. Guns were found propped up beside windows and at vrious other locations in the house.
The body of Goodman's 44 year old wife, Paula, had been found Thursday morning in the back yard of a relative's residence where she had been staying. Goodman is identified as a Vietnam veteran who once operated a gun store and had numerous weapons.
