Frankfort, KY – Millionaire businessman and former political candidate
Bruce Lunsford announced today that he is supporting
Republican gubernatorial candidate Ernie Fletcher.
Lunsford ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat in the
May primary, before dropping out of the race.
Fletcher says he accepts Lunsford's support and he
maintains the support is an indication that his campaign
is able to build a consensus.
The campaign manager for Democrat Ben Chandler says
Lunsford's support is "irrelevant" and is driven more by
ego than by good politics. Voters will decide the outcome
of the Kentucky gubernatorial election on November 4th.
