More Manufacturing Jobs Heading to Owensboro

By AP

Owensboro, KY – Officials with Toyotetsu Mid-America are planning
to add more than one hundred new jobs by next
spring. Company Spokesman Christopher Cooper
says the additional positions will be needed when
the company starts to manufacture parts for two
more vehicles.

Toyotetsu had 120 employees when it opened its
first plant in Daviess County in December. The company
now has 345 workers in the area. Metal parts made at
the Owensboro plant include windshield header panels,
lower back panels, and radiator frames.
