More Severe Weather Expected

By AP

Louisville, KY – Some areas of Kentucky have been drenched by heavy
rain, including more than six inches at Henderson. Despite the downpours,
no serious flooding has yet been reported. State police and disaster and
emergency services personnel say no rescues have been necessary.
Both Henderson and Union Counties were under flash flood warnings
Tuesday morning as were several southern Indiana counties just north
of the Ohio River. As much as ten inches of rain has been recorded
in southern Indiana.
Meanwhile, a tornado watch is in effect for western and central Kentucky
until 4:00 p.m. eastern time. Forecasters say that watch will likely be
expanded eastward as the day progresses.
