Morgantown Woman Pleads Guilty

Bowling Green, Kentucky – Vicky Baker of Morgantown, Kentucky has entered a guilty plea to five felony counts of misapplying funds on deposit at the Morgantown Bank and Trust. The combined maximum penalties for the offenses to which Baker pled guilty total up to 180 years imprisonment and fines of up to six million dollars.

The basis for Baker's plea was that Baker issued a number of loans to bank customers under the pretense that the funds would be used for the benefit of the individual customer. Prosecutors say the funds were actually used by Baker for personal benefit, or the benefit of her family. The case was investigated by the FBI and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Marisa Ford. Baker is scheduled to be sentenced on June 2 in Bowling Green.
