White Mills, KY – A 25 year old Hardin County man has been arrested and charged with murder in the beating death of a three year old boy.
Russell Sullivan of the White Mills community was arrested without incident Tuesday afternoon. He's charged in the beating death of his girlfriend's son, Ryan Arnold.
State police detective J. P. Taylor says family members called for an ambulance Sunday afternoon and after the boy was taken to a local hospital he was transferred to Kosair Childrens Hospital in Louisville.
The victim died Monday and the cause of death was listed on the autopsy report as massive head trauma. The child also had multiple bruises on his body but Taylor says it has not been determined if they came from the fatal beating or if they were inflicted earlier.
Ryan Arnold's mother, Andrea Arnold, has not been charged. Taylor says four other children ages 18 months to eight years lived with the couple but are now with their biological father.
