Murray State Lawsuit settled

Murray, KY – The family of a student killed in a dormitory fire at Murray State University six years ago has settled a lawsuit with the school for $200,000.
Michael Minger's mother had sought as much as $4,000,000 in the suit.
The University has denied fault in Minger's death in September of 1998. The Niceville, Florida sophomore music student died of smaoke inhalation in the fire at Hester Hall. Police said the fire was intentionally set, but a jurt deadlocked in the trial of the only person charged.
