Nation's Governors to Examine Healthcare Concerns

By Dan Modlin

Bowling Green, KY – Governors from across the United States will meet
in Des Moines, Iowa this weekend, to discuss a
variety of healthcare concerns. In particular, members
of the National Governors Association hope to
address ways to reduce the cost of both private and
public health insurance.

The NGA's Health and Human Services Committee
is scheduled to meet Sunday morning to address
the issue of "Uniquely American Solutions for
Health Care Reform." Mississippi Governor
Haley Barbour says "for many who do have insurance,
the quality of their healthcare needs to be improved."
