Frankfort, KY – A state personnel board member has asked the board to investigate the hiring of a social worker who allegedly was pre-selected based on political connections.
Ann Aukerman is one of two state merit employees on the board.
She says she filed the request last week after nothing was done about copmplaints she lodged in May with various officials.
The board already is investigating a complain filed by a transportation cabinet whistle-blower that Governor Fletcher's administration violated state personnel law by basing hiring decisions of civil service employees on politics.
The board was scheduled to hear Aukerman's complaint at their meeting Friday afternoon.
