New Programs Join The WKU Public Radio Lineup This Month

Some great new shows have joined the WKU Public Radio schedule this month.

As you may know, Talk of the Nation stopped production at the end of June. NPR has teamed with the producers of Here & Now to expand and enhance the show, and it now airs in the former Talk of the Nation timeslot (1pm to 3pm C.T., Monday through Thursday).  Science Friday  continues each week at its regular time.

At noon C.T. join us for The Takeaway, a lively news magazine and interview program hosted by veteran public radio journalist and host John Hockenberry.

On the weekend, we've added two broadcasts of This American Life, a show many of you have requested. You can hear it Saturdays at 4pm C.T., and again Sundays at 9am C.T. Hosted by Ira Glass, the show has pioneered a new kind of radio storytelling.

Other additions include the TED Radio Hour, based on the popular TED Talks web series (Sundays at 10am C.T.), and Fresh Air Weekend, which features highlights from the week's interviews (Sundays at 11am C.T.).

We've also added a second broadcast of Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me (Sundays at 4pm C.T.).

This means we bid farewell to a few shows, too, including Marketplace Money, Sunday Baroque, and Weekend All Things Considered. As always, the changes are in response to listener feedback and designed to strengthen our service to you. Give the new shows a listen and let us know what you think.
