No Pardon Discussed By Fletcher

By AP

Frankfort, KY – An attorney for Governor Fletcher's indicted deputy chief of staff says a pardon from the Governor has not been discussed.
Jack Smith is defensing Dick Murgatroyd against 19 misdemeanors on which he was indicted. Smith says they have not asked Fletcher to take such an action.
Fletcher's spoesman, Michael Goins, is dismissing any talk of pardons. Goins wouldn't reveal whether any of those implicated in Attorney General Greg Stumbo's probe had submitted requests for pardons.
All of the defendants who've been arraigned on the charges have pleaded not guilty to accusations they considered political connections in personnel actions for merit system jobs.
