Nominees Announced for Vacant Judgeship on Court of Appeals
The Judicial Nominating Commission has announced nominees to fill the vacant Court of Appeals judgeship for the 4th Appellate District, Division 1. The vacancy was created when Judge Thomas B. Wine resigned, effective January 6th of this year.
The Judicial Nominating Commission, led by Chief Justice of Kentucky John D. Minton, Jr has named three attorneys as nominees: Irvin G. Maze, Ruth Ann Cox Pence, and Harold Gwyn Wren, all of Jefferson County.Under the judicial nominating process in Kentucky, a letter naming the three nominees will be sent to Governor Steve Beshear for review. The governor then has a period of 60 days to appoint a replacement.
