Olympic gold medalist Claire Donahue is spending Tuesday on the campus of her alma mater, WKU. The former Hilltopper swimmer brought home a gold medal from the London games as part of the women’s 4 x 100-meter medley relay team.
Donahue started the day on WKU Public Radio’s Morning Edition broadcast, and said her life has been an absolute whirlwind since the London games wrapped up last month. Donahue told WKU Public Radio she was more nervous watching the U.S. women’s team race in the gold medal match than when she swam in the qualifying heat.
Donahue will speak to the WKU freshman assembly Tuesday night at 6pm at E.A. Diddle Arena.
