Overflow Crowd Expected for Funeral of Central Kentucky Officer

A large crowd is expected in Hodgenville to honor a fallen officer. Forty-three-year-old Mark Taulbee was pursuing a suspect early Sunday when he lost control of his cruiser and crashed.  Visitation begins this Thursday afternoon. The funeral is at noon Friday. Hundreds of officers from across the state are expected to be there. Visitation and the funeral are at the Hodgenville Civic Center. The overflow crowd will be at a church next door. City Hall closed at noon Thursday and will be closed Friday.

Mayor Terry Cruse will be speaking at Friday's service. He says Taulbee was a very good man who took his job seriously. He says Taulbee's family is overwhelmed and appreciative of all the support.
