Owensboro Women In Court Over Missing Body

By AP

Owensboro, KY – Searches over the past two years of the Green River near Owensboro for a missing woman have failed to produce a body.
But despite that, two women charged in the presumed death of 32 year old Carole Hamilton have made their first court appearances.
33 year old Michelle Lyle pleaded innocent to murder and 45 year old Mary Coy pleaded innocent to a charge of tampering with physical evidence.
Kyle's husband, Rodney, and 32 year old William Yeagle were scheduled to be arraigned on murder charges Tuesday but their hearing was rescheduled for next week.
Authorities have been searching for Hamilton since September 2003. Her body was reportedly dumped into the Green River about three miles west of Rumsey after she was slain.
