Bowling Green, Ky – October 16th marks the 150th anniversary of a pivotal event in US history--John Brown's raid at Harper's Ferry, Virgina. Dr. John Hardin of the WKU History Department says Brown's plan to raid an arsenal and help arm slaves led to increased tensions and more military training in the South. This is the first in a two-part series of stories about the impact the raid at Harper's Ferry had on the country. Dan Modlin reports.
