Part of Patton Suit Dismissed

Frankfort, Kentucky – A Judge's decision means only parts of Tina Conner's lawsuit against Governor Paul Patton can proceed. Yesterday, a Franklin Circuit Judge dismissed most of a lawsuit that accused Patton of retaliating against Conner for ending their affair.

The Judge exempted State Government as a defendant in the suit and dismisssed allegations that Patton sexually harrassed Conner and wasted state resources. But, the Judge left intact Conner's claims that Patton caused her emotional distress and acted outrageously.

Conner claims Patton turned inspectors loose on her Clinton County nursing home in retaliation for ending their two-year affair in 1999. Patton denies any such misuse of his authority.
