Muhlenberg County native Bill Gatton has made another multi-million dollar donation to the University of Kentucky. The 82-year-old businessman-turn-philanthropist has given $20 million toward the expansion of the student center at UK. The Herald-Leader reports it follows a $14 million donation to the university in 1995.
Gatton is the namesake for WKU’s Gatton Academy, an institution that’s been named the best public high school in America multiple times by a national publication.
