The Aviation Heritage Park in Bowling Green has a new addition: a supersonic jet, called a T-38 Talon, that was flown by astronaut and WKU graduate Terry Wilcutt.
The jet was used by NASA for training exercises. As reported by WKU Public Radio's Lisa Autry, The plane was rescued by leaders of the Aviation Heritage Park after sitting in a desert junkyard for three years.
WKU photojournalist Abbey Oldham witnessed the arrival of the T-38 Talon at the Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport. This is a collection of photographs she took when the plane made its way to south-central Kentucky on March 21.
