Pickett To Be Buried In Louisville Saturday

Louisville, KY – Soul singer Wilson Pickett, Jr. will be buried Saturday in Louisville. Pickett died of a heart attack at a Reston, VA hospital last week at the age of 64.
His funeral will be Saturday at Canann Christian Church in Louisville with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, beside his mother, Lena.
Pickett began singing gospel in Baptist churches in Alabama, where he was born, and moved to Detroit with his family as a teenager.
He rose to stardom in the early 1960,s with hits including "Mustang Sally" and "In The Midnight Hour".
