Pork Exports to Mexico on the Rise, Benefiting Kentucky

Per capita pork consumption in Mexico currently runs considerably lower than in the United States. However, pork producers in Kentucky and other states are investing in programs designed to help boost pork exports to that country.
The year 2012 has been a good one for such exports, according to representatives of the U.S. Meat Export Federation. The Executive Director of the Kentucky Pork Producers Association, Bonnie Jolly of Elizabethtown, says past investments in export markets are having an impact.
