Possible Suitors Visit Abandoned Louisville Amusement Park

Potential future operators of Kentucky Kingdom are getting a look at the old amusement park. The gates were opened Tuesday for prospective bidders to inspect the vacant rides and buildings on the property.

Among them is Ed Hart, the developer who once operated Kentucky Kingdom.  Hart believes the park can be successful again, and says he will invest $40 million to reopen it.

Two former Kentucky Kingdom workers, one dressed in a park mascot costume, stood outside the gates with a sign that read "Will Work for Fun...Save My Park."

October 19th is the deadline for potential operators to submit their bids.
