Power Back On In Frankfort Building

By AP

Frankfort, KY – The lights are back on today in state government's tallest building.
A power outage in the building yesterday sent about 1,000 state employees home early. The 24 story Capital Plaza Tower in Frankfort was shut down after a transformer blew about 8:15 Monday morning.
The outage knocked out lights, electricity and telephones in most of the building. A spokeswoman for the finance cabinet says repairs were completed overnight and everyone's back at work today.
The finance cabinet includes the department for facilities management, maintenance arm of state government.
