The Kentucky Public Service Commission says thousands of residents in the state remain without power, following Friday's outbreak of severe weather. Heading into Sunday morning, an estimated 21 thousand power outages were reported in the Commonwealth.
That figure does not include outages in areas served by municipal utilities or rural electric cooperatives in the Tennessee Valley Authority System. The Public Service Commission estimates that outages in those systems could amount to another 5500 customers.
