Prayers and Forgiveness Offered at Brandon Bradshaw Memorial

Snow and freezing temperatures didn't stop hundreds of friends and family members from turning out Saturday night to honor the memory of Brandon Bradshaw, a Warren County man shot to death in Bowling Green last week.

About 300 mourners gathered in the parking lot of Michelle's Boutique on the 31-W Bypass in Bowing Green for the hour-long service before making their way down the Bypass to Circus Square park for more prayers and speeches. Bradshaw was shot by off-duty Warren County court security officer Tommy Brown in the same parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

Bradshaw was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt Saturday morning.

Friends and family members spoke of peace and forgiveness for Brown, while also calling for justice to be done. No charges have been filed against Brown as of Saturday night and his lawyer, Alan Simpson, has told WKU Public Radio his client acted in self defense.

Bradshaw was remembered as a loving husband and father of three. His youngest child was born in February.
