Prescriptions Stolen from Senior Citizens

Concern is growing among law enforcement officials in Kentucky about the theft of prescription pills from elderly patients. Van Ingram, the Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, says the medications are being stolen by people who abuse the drugs themselves or attempt to sell the products  on the street.

Ingram says its difficult to determine how widespread these thefts have become, but police officers across the state have been reporting the problem. In some cases, relatives have been involved in the thefts.
