WKYU-PBS today hosted the Ohio Valley Regional Emmy nominations. Finalists were announced in fifty categories for the awards that recognize excellence in television.
Emmy Chapter Administrator Cherie Housley says the Ohio Valley region includes TV stations from all or portions of four states: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. The awards recognize achievement in categories ranging from Video Essay to Newscast to Set Design. Those nominated today will be competing for Regional Emmys that will be announced on July 28th at Belterra Casino,Resort, and Spa in Indiana.
WKYU-PBS, which provided production and live streaming of today's announcements, had four entries nominated for Regional Emmy awards today. David Brinkley and Joshua Niedwick were nominated for the "Photographer-Program" category for their work on "Harlaxton College: WKU in England." Cheryl Beckley and Joshua Niedwick were also nominated in the same category for "Federal Grove." In addition, David Brinkley was nominated for a composite of his work in the Lighting category. In the Informational/Instructional Program category, Brinkley, Cheryl Beckley, and Jessica Gibbs were nominated for Main Street Special Edition"Kentucky Adventures" Behind the Scenes.
