Bowling Green, Kentucky – Kentucky House Speaker Jody Richards has officially announced his candidacy for Governor. The Bowling Green Democrat says the people of Kentucky deserve a "world class" educational system and government leaders who will maintain integrity.
Richards has selected Jefferson Circuit Court Clerk Tony Miller as his running mate. Miller says his extensive experience in local and state government will be an asset to the ticket.
Earlier this week, Republican Ernie Fletcher and Democrat Ben Chandler also announced that they would be candidates in next year's gubernatorial race.
