Bowling Green, KY – Ice and snow in many parts of the country have increased demand for road salt this year, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says road crews are taking steps to conserve remaining supplies. Public Information Officer Keith Todd says the state "is not running out of salt", but will be less aggressive in treating roads for ice until salt supplies have been replenished.
