School Bus Crash in Louisville

By AP

Louisville, KY – A car crashed into the rear of a Jefferson County school bus Tuesday morning, resulting in a small fire and apparently minor injuries to six students.
Police and fire officials say bus driver Belinda Snyder made sure the ten students aboard evacuated the bus as soon as it was learned there was a fire in the crash.
Six of the students from Waggener, Shawnee and Central High Schools were taken to Kosair Childrens Hospital for examination after complaining of back and neck pain. It was not determined if any of the six would be admitted for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the bus fled the scene on foot and is being sought by Louisville Metro Police.
