Senate Considering State Health Insurance Plan

Frankfort, KY – The Seante Appropriations Committee chairman says lawmakers are still working on a proposal aimed at heading off a state-wide teachers' strike.
State Senator Richie Sanders of Franklin says the GOP controlled senate is considering ways to boost maternity benefits for people covered by the state health insurance plan.
The Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee was scheduled to meet at 10:00 Eastern time Monday morning, but Sanders says lawmakers were satill working on the numbers
Sanders says the committee may convene late Monday morning. His committee would have to approve the plan before it would head to the full senate.
Sanders says there's still a possibility the senate could vote on the plan Monday. However, he says it's more likely to happen Tuesday.
