Senate May Pass House Tax Plan

Frankfort, KY – A leading lawmaker says the tax plan that emerged from the House may be embraced intact by the Senate.
The House plan differs from the proposal made by Governor Fletcher with measured corporate cuts, smaller cigarette and alcohol levels and more relief for the lowest income individuals.
The Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee Tuesday began its examination of the tax and spending plans passed by the House last week.
