Senator Bunning Requests More Protection

Paducah, KY – Kentucky U. S. Senator Jim Bunning will have extra security from the Paducah police department during a visit to that city Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bunning requested special protection during his visit to western Kentucky. A spokesman for the Senator said the senate sergeant-at-arms recommended that senators take extra precautions in light of recent threats by Al-Qaida.

Bunning will visit Fulton as well as Paducah
Paducah will not be reimbursed for the cost of the Senator's security. Bunning aides say no specific threats have been made against the Senator.
