Bowling Green, KY – U-S Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky says the choice of Alan Krueger to serve as Chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisors is an example of doing the same thing "over and over.....and expecting different results." The lawmaker from Bowling Green criticized Krueger's past work at the Treasury Department and his role in developing the "Cash for Clunkers" program.
Supporters of the Krueger selection say the Princeton Economist is a jobs specialist. In making the announcement earlier this week, President Obama praised Krueger as an economist who will "do what's best for the economy."
