Settlement Reached in Anti-Trust Complaint Against Kentucky Real Estate Commission

By AP

Washington, D.C. – The Justice Department reports it has reached a settlement
of its anti-trust complaint against the Kentucky Real Estate
Commission. The complaint related to fees for broker
services.

Under the settlement filed in U-S District Court in
Louisville, the Commission would stop prohibiting
rebates and cease any enforcement actions against
brokers for offering rebates or discounts. The court
must approve the settlement.

Kentucky's Real Estate Commission was created
by the General Assembly. It consists of four active
real-estate brokers and one Commissioner.
