Significant Threat of Severe Weather Today

According to the National Weather Service, a significant severe weather outbreak is possible across much of central Kentucky and possibly south-central Indiana this afternoon and evening.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected today as a warm front moves through.

Then a cold front will approach our region from the west, brining the greatest chance of severe weather beginning this afternoon. These storms are expected to develop near the I65 corridor during the early afternoon hours.

There is a significant threat of severe thunderstorms and tornadic activity this afternoon and evening. Stay tuned for updates--you can also check the National Weather Service website (the link is at the beginning of this story) for the most current watches and warnings.
