Louisville, KY – More than 160 soldiers who have served in Iraq will arrive at the Louisville Air National Guard base aboard two flights Monday afternoon.
Governor Fletcher's office reports there will be a homecoming ceremony. The soldiers left for training in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin on October 5th last year. They deployed to Iraq in November.
Two members of the 617th, Specialist
Michael Hayes of Morgantown and SSGT William Allers of Leitchfield, were killed in action.
