Southern Kentucky Murder Victim Remembered at Holiday Run

A Russell County woman who was killed while out for a run was in the thoughts of people who gathered for the Bluegrass 10,000 race awards ceremony in Lexington. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that members of Sarah Hart's family were at the ceremony Wednesday.

Hart, a pregnant mother of three, was killed during a morning run last month in Russell County.

Eric Marr, race director of a half-marathon in Lexington, introduced Hart's family to the crowd Wednesday. He encouraged them to show their love to the family, and the crowd responded with applause.

Hart's body was found in a field just off the highway where she had been running. Police have charged 28-year-old Christopher W. Allman with murder, fetal homicide, kidnapping and robbery. Allman has pleaded not guilty.
