State Officials Confirm Twelve Deaths in Kentucky

As the death toll rises across the country, Kentucky Emergency Management has confirmed that at least twelve people were killed in the bluegrass state by Friday's outbreak of severe weather and tornadoes.

Four fatalities have been confirmed in Menifee County, four in Laurel County, three in Kenton County, and one in Morgan County.Trained spotters and law enforcement officials across Kentucky reported thirteen tornadoes during the breakout of severe weather. Governor Beshear has authorized 275 National Guard troops to assist counties dealing with storm-related damage.
